Also what do you mean by clean drive installation? Do you mean a clean install of Windows? If so, I did do that, also used DDU in safe mode to switch between the AMD drivers.Today, I have the Late 2020 edition of the Razer Blade Stealth 13 in for review with me. Crashed a bit and was also getting high temps so went to 20.4.2 and then realised synthetic benchmark scores were much lower so went back to 20.8.1 to continue benchmarking (and will probably go back to 20.4.2 again). Could you mention what graphics driver you're using? I initially installed 20.8.1 accidentally, thinking they were the stable drivers (since amd lists them first). I'm getting 274 FPS on Vulkan with 1080p Ultra (50% res scale) and 229 on 1080p ultra 100% res scale (DX11). The only game where it's really doing well so far is Six Siege. Only just got my pc though, so will have to download some more games and see how it performs. I know CPU plays a big factor but the difference still seems huge to me. I'm getting 85 fps on Shadow of the Tomb Raider's benchmark mode with the 5700xt's latest drivers whereas on Guru3D in July 2019, they were getting 117 FPS. I'm using DX12 wherever I can though but it still feel likes my card is underperforming. I've seen people on YT with the same CPU and a 5700xt get 76 fps on 1080p ultra. What exact 5700XT version do you have and how much RAM? It is weird that we're both severely underperforming in Odyssey. Try out the 1900 MHz and 965 mV settings and see if you get -10 C hot spot without losing a lot of score. You can use the Time Spy and Fire Strike benchmarks for free and there is a big list of other users scores on their website. Just search for 3DMARK and 'Download Demo' (to the right of 'Add to Cart'). If you want to try Time Spy, it is on Steam. My new settings without Chill enabled stay under 70 C, while my old settings that I have been using for several years now gets up near 90 C on Time Spy but only gets ~300 better score! Time Spy temps I ran some Time Spy benchmarks and had some interesting results. Legit 40 C drop running Epic Settings with PhysX enabled at 120 fps with these new settings in J:FO. I wasn't even sure that it would run at that undervolt but it's been rock solid for a few days now and the hot spot sits at ~58 C while playing. 1080p 1440p ultra widescreenĪ few days ago, I accidentally had the default settings on my card and was wondering why it was running so hot while I was playing Jedi: Fallen Order (hot spot at 100 C!) I did quite a bit of research and came up with new settings of 1900 MHz underclock and 965 mV. Hey, just running a Heaven Benchmark and seeing what score I should be looking for. I've not seen any artifacts yet and I’m pretty sure because back in the day I spilled coffee on my 960 and still ran it into the ground after that lol How confident should I be that this OC is stable I've probably ran it like 4-5 times on this same OC just adjusting the fan curve and nothing yet. I havent seen any artifacts thus far while running unigine. Should I be worried about my max fps being lower then yours?Īlso this is my first time undervolting my gpu, got it in 2020 - out of the box it came at 2090mhz core speed 1780-1790mhz or something mem speed at 1.2v. I noticed as I used more fans my min fps actually dropped so I just kept adjusting until I could sit under 70. I originally just had the fan tuning set on 45% but my card was running at like 75-76c and I wanted to cool it down a bit. ![]() Something I noticed was for you that my min fpsi higher then yours but your max fps is way higher then mine, could this be a cooling thing? Was wondering how hot yours runs when doing the test. Under load my fan curve hits 1983rpm and my temperature sits just under 70c usually 65-68 in unigine Hey! I was wondering something about cooling and you seem pretty knowledgeable
